1. Warranty Coverage Overview
All BAJT Smart Curtains motors include a 1-year full manufacturer's warranty effective from the date of professional installation. This warranty covers all manufacturing defects, mechanical failures, and electrical component failures under normal operating conditions.
Warranty applies to all three motor models:
- Tuya GE82TV Smart IoT Motor (18W-45W)
- Dooya DT72TV Professional Automation Motor (1.2-2.0 N·m)
- Dooya DT52 Industrial Heavy-Duty Motor (100kg)
2. What IS Covered by Warranty
The 1-year warranty includes coverage for:
- Manufacturing Defects: Flaws in materials or workmanship causing malfunction
- Motor Mechanical Failures: Failure of internal motor components, gears, bearings, or shafts
- Electrical Component Failures: Failure of circuit boards, capacitors, transformers, or wiring
- Control System Failures: Failure of limit switches, safety sensors, or electronic controllers
- Normal Wear and Tear: Gradual degradation of normal-use components within the rated specifications
- Factory-Related Issues: Any defect originating from the manufacturing facility
Covered Services Include:
- Free replacement parts for defective components
- Free technician visit and repair labor
- Free freight for replacement products nationwide
- Free system recalibration or adjustment after repairs
3. What IS NOT Covered by Warranty
The warranty explicitly does NOT cover:
- Accidental Damage: Drops, physical impacts, or collision damage after installation
- Misuse or Negligence: Using the motor beyond rated specifications (exceeding load capacity, continuous operation beyond rated time)
- Improper Installation: Damage caused by installation by non-authorized personnel or deviation from installation instructions
- Unauthorized Modifications: Any alterations, repairs, or modifications performed by non-BAJT technicians
- Environmental Damage: Damage from water exposure, flooding, extreme heat, extreme cold, humidity, or harsh weather conditions
- Structural Failures: Damage to mounting tracks, rails, brackets, or structural components of the curtain system
- Power-Related Issues: Damage from electrical surges, voltage fluctuations, or improper electrical installation
- Lack of Maintenance: Damage from failure to maintain the motor as recommended (cleaning, lubrication, inspection)
- Cosmetic Damage: Scratches, dents, or surface marks that do not affect functionality
- Natural Aging: Color fading, material brittleness, or cosmetic wear over time
- Third-Party Components: Failure of non-BAJT-branded accessories or control systems
- Normal Consumables: Replacement of batteries in remote controls or RF receivers
- Smart Home Integration Issues: Problems with WiFi connectivity, app synchronization, or smart home platform compatibility (though we provide free setup support)
4. Warranty Period and Duration
Warranty Start Date: The warranty period begins on the installation completion date (NOT the purchase date). A warranty certificate with the activation date will be provided by your installation technician.
Warranty Duration: 12 calendar months from the installation date. The warranty expires automatically on the 12-month anniversary regardless of usage.
Warranty Proof: Keep your warranty certificate, installation invoice, and order confirmation as proof of warranty status. We recommend storing these documents for your records.
5. How to Claim Warranty Service

- Order number and installation date

- Any error messages or unusual sounds
Step 3: Diagnostic Assessment Our technical team will review your information and determine if the issue is covered under warranty. We may request additional photos, videos, or a remote troubleshooting session via WhatsApp video call.
Step 4: Service Execution If the issue is covered:
- A qualified technician will be scheduled to visit your location (typically within 3-7 business days)
- The technician will diagnose the issue and perform repairs or replacement
- If repair is not possible, the motor will be replaced at no cost
- The technician will test the system before leaving
Step 5: Follow-Up We may follow up after 2-3 days to confirm satisfaction with the repair or replacement.
6. Warranty Claim Timeline
Claim Processing:
- Initial response to your claim: within 24 hours of contact
- Technical assessment: within 48 hours
- Technician dispatch (if approved): within 3-7 business days depending on location
- Repair/replacement completion: typically same-day or next-day for most issues
- Complex repairs: may require 5-10 days for parts replacement or shipping
Major cities (Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Mirpur) typically see faster response times. Remote areas may require additional time for technician travel.
7. Warranty Exclusions and Limitations
Warranty is Void If:
- The motor is used beyond rated specifications (load capacity, duty cycle)
- The product shows signs of unauthorized repair or modification
- The warranty certificate is missing or has been altered
- The motor is used in applications other than curtain automation
- The motor has been subjected to abuse, negligence, or accidents
- Installation was performed by non-authorized personnel
- The motor is operated in environmental conditions outside the specified range
8. Extended Warranty and Service Plans
Extended Warranty (Optional): Coverage beyond the standard 1-year period is available. Extended warranty options include:
- 2-Year Total Coverage: +1 additional year at PKR 5,000 (must be purchased before 1-year warranty expires)
- 3-Year Total Coverage: +2 additional years at PKR 8,000 (must be purchased within 30 days of installation)
- Premium Service Plan: Includes annual maintenance visits, priority support, and 3-year coverage – PKR 12,000

9. Return and Replacement Policy
Note: Returns are not available for completed installations. Once a motor is installed and activated, it cannot be returned. However, defective motors are fully covered under warranty.
Pre-Installation Returns: If a motor is unopened and unused, it may be returned within 7 days of delivery for a full refund, less any applicable restocking fees (10%). Contact us to arrange pre-installation returns.
Defective Product Replacement: If your motor is defective during the warranty period, we will replace it at no cost. The defective unit does not need to be returned if replacement parts/shipping are provided.
10. Post-Warranty Service and Support
After the 1-year warranty expires, we still provide support:
- Technical Consultation: Free phone/WhatsApp support for troubleshooting and questions
- Spare Parts: Availability of replacement parts at cost (typically PKR 3,000-10,000 per part)
- Technician Repair: Repair service available at PKR 2,000-5,000 per visit (parts not included)
- Maintenance Service: Annual maintenance visits available at PKR 3,000 per year

BAJT Smart Curtains maintains a network of certified technicians across Pakistan to ensure quick, professional service for all warranty claims:
- Islamabad/Rawalpindi Region: Headquarters team – response within 24 hours
- Lahore/Punjab: Regional technician team – response within 24-48 hours
- Karachi/Sindh: Regional technician team – response within 48 hours
- Peshawar/KP: Technician on call – response within 2-3 days
- Remote Areas: Mobile technician support – scheduled in advance
All technicians are trained, certified, and equipped with tools and spare parts to handle warranty repairs on-site.
12. Maintenance Recommendations (Warranty Protection)
To maintain warranty validity and extend motor lifespan, we recommend:
- Monthly: Check that curtains open and close smoothly without obstruction
- Quarterly: Inspect motor for dust and clean with dry cloth
- Semi-Annually: Lubricate track with light machine oil; check all fasteners are tight
- Annually: Professional maintenance check (available at PKR 3,000/year)
- Avoid: Exposure to water, extreme temperatures, excessive dust, or vibration
Failure to maintain the motor as recommended does not automatically void the warranty, but negligence-related damage is not covered. Performing annual maintenance can help prevent issues and extend warranty validity if extended coverage is purchased.
13. Dispute Resolution for Warranty Claims
If there is a dispute about warranty coverage:
- Step 1: Contact our customer support team with details and photos
- Step 2: Request a detailed written warranty assessment
- Step 3: If unsatisfied, request escalation to management for review
- Step 4: Unresolved disputes will be handled through mediation or arbitration under Pakistani law

BAJT Smart Curtains guarantees no hidden charges:
- Warranty service visits are FREE during the warranty period
- Replacement parts are FREE if they are defective manufacturing issues
- Labor/technician time is FREE for warranty-covered repairs
- Freight for replacement products is FREE nationwide
- Post-warranty service is optional and pricing is quoted in advance
All costs are transparent and communicated upfront. You will never be charged for warranty service without prior agreement.

Your purchase after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. However, warranty coverage for products purchased before the update will be honored under the previous policy terms.
